One Egyptian Pound (abbreviated L.E. or EGP) is divided into 100 Piastres.

Egyptian money is very beautiful and easy to read. One side of each bill is written in Arabic, the other side in English. But beware: there are both 50 Piastre notes (in 2024, worth less than a penny) and 50 Pound notes (worth about $1.60). Be sure to note the differences!
