Meet Us!

We’re celebrating 15 years!

Treasures of Egypt Tours (TOET) was formalized in 2008 by mother and daughter pair Fran and Michele Baker and Adel “Habibi” Taha. We still can’t believe it’s been this long!

Mr. Adel Taha — affectionately known as “Habibi” — (Egypt Tour Director, In-Country Logistics) has been a tour director and guide in Egypt for over 30 years. After traveling with him for 15+ years, we can assure you he knows everybody in Egypt! Working through his network of professionally-trained local tour guides and helpers, Adel will ensure that your stay in Egypt is pleasant, safe, and exciting.

Ms. Michele Baker (President, US Tour Director, Marketing) is a food, wine and travel writer and magazine editor for eat. drink. MISSISSIPPI magazine. She has also published two books on spirituality and personal transformation (visit her website for details). She has lived, worked, and traveled extensively throughout North America, Europe, Turkey, and Egypt.

Dr. Fran Baker (Vice President, US Tour Director) is a retired social worker and specialist in trauma informed care. She founded Born Free, Inc., a residential treatment facility for pregnant and parenting women and their children. She also taught for nearly a decade at Jackson State University. Fran loves reading, world travel, and cats.
